Assessor's Office

The Assessor’s Office is responsible for valuing all real and personal property within the Town of Ipswich for tax purposes. We are also responsible for administering motor vehicle and boat excise tax, however, the Assessors do not determine value for these excise tax bills. Abatements for real estate, personal property, motor vehicle excise, and boat excise are the responsibility of the Assessors.

Other Functions

Another function of the Assessor’s Office is to send Statutory Exemption and Tax Deferral forms to property owners who have received an exemption / deferral during the previous year. The most common exemptions are qualifying veterans, seniors, and blind. 

Helpful Hint
If you encounter difficulty when searching by street name in Patriot Properties information page, try entering just the first few letters of the street instead of the whole street name and do not include street number.
